Yes, winning the World Series was great…ignoring the lack of scouting from the Cintron/Snitker staff from April through early October was not.
Those two clowns hung onto their jobs for 3 more seasons as we watched the team's approach at the plate get worse and worse. Espada rode in on the coattails of that championship with what, at this point, we have to believe was almost no vetting. (You'll never convince me that guy sat down and blew anyone away in an interview)
Again…loved having the Championship, but we're absolutely paying for it now as the club has been horribly managed in the front office and on the field since then.
By the same token, everyone wants to talk about Click…but he hasn't been hired as a GM since getting cut loose 4 years ago, so it obviously wasn't just Crane.
