Yeah, I don't understand why people are mad at Pena.

If they won't pitch to him with 2nd and 3rd and 2 outs, why would they pitch to him with 1st and 3rd and 2 outs?

I think Imai out of the bullpen even less than I like him starting. At least when he's starting I know I'm going to be stressed out; now I'm getting stressed out with very little time to prep

There's a difference in walking him with a base open, versus choosing to walk him and move the tying run to scoring position. Smart teams should still walk him, but it forces a decision that not every manager will make.

The trivia question answer is Rod Carew in 1977. He hit .388, Lyman Bostock finished second at .336. They were teammates on the twins.

Bostock is a tragic tale in baseball history, murdered in a case of mistaken identity late in the 1978 season while playing for the Angels. He had a .311 batting average in his first 4 years in the majors.
