I do think Skubal to the Dodgers had an impact on this deadline. I thought there would be a good amount of buyers and that prices would be high.

The Nationals had the leagues best offense and started tearing that down
The Pirates haven't done anything

Crane has been a consistent buyer when he thinks his team has a reasonable shot. I agree with you, something will get done but it may not be what we think it should be.

Add Seager with Texas picking up a chunk of the price tag and turn around and move Pena.

Hell add Seager and let him split time at DH with Yordan in LF and move Pena in the offseason.

They've been talking to the Tigers with Mize.

Conversations with the Marlins are still happening regarding Sandy and Stowers.

Yeah that's a terrible fit for a number of reasons. Plus Arlington wouldn't deal him to us even if we wanted him.
