be enough to trade for Donovan?

Wonder why Reddick is doing a media tour of sorts here lately.
He got a book coming out or looking for a new broadcast job or something?

Trade news: The Boston Red Sox are acquiring right-hander Johan Oviedo in a deal that will send outfielder Jhostynxon Garcia back to Pittsburgh, sources tell ESPN. In total, it's a five-player trade.

The Astros made a minor trade, acquiring minor-league right-hander Nico Zeglin from the Cubs for international bonus pool money. Zeglin, 25, pitched in A-ball in 2024 and missed the 2025 season due to injury.

Would trading Paredes and Spaghetti
be enough to trade for Donovan?
Putting an Astros fan on the video boards of the Athletics new ballpark renderings is dork of the week merit for @Ken_Rosenthal. pic.twitter.com/YmJwIk0VFf

I rarely am able to keep up with this thread, but just saw this. Are yall really so crazy about this Donovan guy that you would give up Paredes at all much less more? Is he even better than Paredes? It's not like he's younger.

Teams in the mix for Suarez believe he's the next big-time starter off the board. Though the 30-year-old won't fetch a Dylan Cease-level deal, he long has been a target for Houston, which balks at deals beyond six years, and Baltimore, which is seeking a top-end rotation piece.
Remember the Minnesota Twins catching prospect accused of giving away pitches to opposing hitters?

Well, MLB's investigation is complete.
Here's what happened, and what it means for Derek Bender.

Baltimore has been very stingy with their FA deals, but especially when it comes to SP.
I would hope out of all the pitchers out there over the years, Suarez isn't a guy we go crazy for and pay big money to. He's more Dallas Keuchel than Justin Verlander. Doesn't throw hard. Doesn't generate a ton of Ks. Lives off soft contact. Doesn't give up walks. Obviously, he's still very effective. I am just being nitpicky, but this is my preference.

Looking up predicted contractsIf the total value stays around 125 M or below, I could see the Astros being players. Those 6/160+ M deals are likely out of Crane's comfort zone.
- MLBTR - 5/115
- Fangraphs Crowdsource - 5/125
- BR Tim Kelly - 4/110
- Spotrac Market Value - 6/161.5
- Athletic - 6/164
Late in the 2023 international signing period, Anderson Brito signed for $10,000.

Now, he’s averaging 96 mph, climbing prospect ranks and making up for any lack of attention prior to turning pro.
Why you should keep an eye out for him in 2026 👀 https://t.co/0fkivh2cwg
