Yordan and Melton return and you could in theory have 4 lefty bats in lineup with Singleton and Caratini

Suarez and Sanchez are both really, really good. I don't expect it to be like facing JP Sears.

Going to Tuesday's game, so hope they manage to be patient enough to figure out Suarez. He lives at the bottom of the zone and outside against righties and hasn't completed fewer than six innings (regularly allowing 0 or 1 runs) since his first start back from injury.

Why the hell not! There is no way that Jon hits any worse than Walker or any of the numerous minor leaguers we have been starting for the last month.

Walker has 314 plate appearances

Yainer has 276 plate appearances

they are running out of time to be everyday players and/or top half of the order hitters

Yainer's 10 walks in 276 PA's is awful

.268 on-base % is for guys hitting 8th and 9th

The next series v Philly will mark the end of the first half of the season, for which they are guaranteed to find themselves with the division lead.

Overall, the club has overachieved to date, given the loss of their number 3 through 5 starting pitchers and Yordan's middling performance before being out for 49 games and counting.

Peña, Paredes, Smith, and Meyers have been pleasant surprises offensively while Walker and Diaz have been offensively unpleasant.

Framber and HB have held the course while the damn near heroic pitching performance of the motley group of McCullerd, AAA starters, and no name middle relievers are largely responsible for the team's record to date.

The return of Yordan, McCullerd, Arrighetti, Javier, Melton, Chas, and Garcia looms though exact timing remains hazy.

All in all, a great start to the season.
