It isn't an either or if Altuve is already in the lineup. If Altuve is in LF, is he still in the lineup? Yes. If you want him to move to 2B, you need to find a player that has a bWar that is 1.7 better than Rodgers to play left field instead to overcome the drop in defense at 2B. Who do we have on our roster to plug in at LF that even has a positive bWar, much less one that is 1.7 better than Rodgers or Dubon?

You can dig into the fancy fangraphs stats all you want. It's a tiny sample and relatively meaingless. We don't have anyone who would start at 2nd over Altuve that NEEDS to be on the field. And playing him there doesn't actually lead to much, if any, additional run creation for the opposing team. But it could definitely be argued that once we get our lineup mostly healthy again, putting Altuve in LF will be COSTING us significant upside on offense.
