I think that Smith and Matthews will finish the last third of this season in Sugarland, with Matthews in CF and Smith in RF. That is who and where those two will start next season for the Astros.

I've always hated gatekeeping like this. Just because someone hasn't known about the team and their every move before making a big run doesn't make them less of a fan.

I started watching the Spurs after they drafted Duncan because I loved his play style and attitude. Does that make me not a "true fan" because I didn't follow them during the Admiral days or George Gervin? Hell no.

I started watching the Stars after they won the Stanley cup in '99 but been a fan ever since. Does that make me a bad fan because I wasn't obsessed with the Minnesota North Stars? Hell no.

Fans are allowed to not obsess over a team until they make some noise. Just be happy they support the team now, even when they criticize said team.
