Yeah, I'm more worried about range and reads. Jake is a really good defender for those exact reasons. I'm not saying Jose will be strong in those areas but certainly more room for optimism there than with his arm.
Statcast has our entire outfield costing us 4 total runs on the year due to their throws. The best was the Guards preventing 11 runs. The worst was the White Sox allowing 11 runs.

Statcast has our entire outfield saving us 16 total runs on the year due to their range. The best was the Blue Jays preventing 29 runs. The worst was the Athletics allowing 24 runs.

As you can see, the range tops the arm by a good amount.

My hypothetical question is whether DeZenzo can play 2B at an average level?

He is one of our few prospect bats with true upside, enough so that we looking at giving him LF at-bats. If we look to move Altuve to LF due to poor 2B defense, can DeZenzo play a better defensive 2B?

He's 6'5" 220. He technically has played some 2B in his minor league career and SS back in college, but I don't see it. The Astros wouldn't let him play 3B (his primary position) in the bigs. I don't see 2B in the future. I see LF, 1B, & DH.

Awful. This happened to me in high school. Got rushed to the ER. Had a significant concussion and fractured jaw. That whole thing is still fuzzy

I understand the intent, but the play in the video is not impacted at all by the fielder's foot. Guy was out from the moment he took off for second.

If this means we expand Apple TV, I am all for it.

I really hope MLB partners with one main streaming service & one main network for weekend "national" broadcasts.

How awesome would it be for AppleTV to have 2 prime time games Friday-Saturday-Sunday then all the rest gets on your regional station. Then Fox keeps or even expands its Saturday, All Star, Field of Dreams slate.

You'd need 3 "channels" to watch all Astro games but those 2/3 would also give you a **** ton of other great games too.

Same for the postseason. Give Fox all the broadcasts. Offer additional AppleTV content to go along. If they made it free for Oct, I'd even say broadcast postseason games on AppleTV too.

ESPN went all in with NBA & College Football. I few times I watched a non live sports show on ESPN, it felt like more WNBA coverage than MLB.
