Those stats are basically the same, except for Arenado has a much higher BABIP, which translates to other metrics. He was luckier.

Sure. But all other things being equal BABIP is pretty stable across all hitters and is a decent measure of luck. His is higher than normal. Bregmans is lower.

It could also be Bregman's 726 pop ups to RF the first 2 months of the season. I need to get that in before Marvin reminds me.

i went to my first 45's game 61 years ago so I'm forever and always an Astros fan but I've warmed up to the Diamondbacks living here. This was a huge loss for Arizona and a huge win for the Astros. He's really, really good and is great with the glove.

I've been re-watching a lot of the postseason games the last few weeks and currently in the middle of game 5 of the 2022 World Series.
While game 5 of 2017 was nothing but a slugfest, I'll contest that game 5 of 2022 was more intense because it was a rock fight between 2 gritty teams.

No outs, walkoff triple.

A couple of those (Biggio, Eusebio, Feldman, Finley, Gonzo, Carter) should have been enough to get you at least one whole category, and be pretty certain on another. Thankfully, I guessed right on two other names on the first pass.

Astros are at 6/156 (allegedly) which is 26 AAV. Rumors are Alex wants 28.5 AAV at least. I know he probably wants it guaranteed, but why not tag $2.5M of performance incentives on the deal so he can earn it if he plays up to that level?

I wonder if it hasn't got to that point because Boras treats anything less than 28.5 guaranteed as a non-starter so we aren't even at the "get creative" stage yet.

If Bregman would tell Boras to get a deal done with us or the Red Sox (the only two teams that make sense for him realistically) there probably would be movement.
