He's gonna make the Yankees build an HEB in NYC and serve the team his ****ty salsa in the clubhouse every night isn't he?n_touch said:Only specific colored skittles in his locker for every game? Pace salsa and Tostitos at every stop? The Porkchop Express said:
A buddy of mine in the media says Bregman is asking for some rather prima dona things in his deal that might be slowing things down a bit.
Come on, you can't just hit and run with this and not drop at least a little of the absurd things that he is wanting.

New at ESPN+: Baseball’s winter market has cooled down after huge trades and $2 billion spent. Where does everything stand? A look at who’s available via trade, who has money to spend, the best free agents still out there and when things will start moving: https://t.co/hi0d5TSolQ

Do you pull it back quietly or do you announce that you've moved on to stick it to Boras and take away at least one leveraging tool?Mathguy64 said:
Agreed. To me, Bregman is done. He had a chance to sign a fair offer and the club moved on. I politely tell him thank you for his service, pull the offer and that money should be 100% redirected to a corner OFer.

I can assure you they are not out on Bregman though the odds are still pretty slim

Cubs owner Tom Ricketts will now be inviting Sammy Sosa back and inviting him to the convention. Nice! pic.twitter.com/x1Di9gbQlt

Give Bregman/Boras a drop dead time and date to accept or the offer is withdrawn. Quit screwing around.

This. I think Boras is finding the market soft on Bregman. His notorious slow starts and bone spurs sidelining him are two reasons I can think of off the bat.
And Bregman went from great to good. He's been ~25% above avg for a few years now. He's entering his age 31 season. It didn't help that he underperformed and threw up from red flags in his walk year. I truly think 6/156 is more than he's worth. If he has an offer more than that he should jump on it.Hornbeck said:mwm said:

Personally I don't think he does. I think he has fewer offers of the value/time that he wants than he anticipated.Farmer1906 said:And Bregman went from great to good. I don’t accept Sammy Sosa’s apology for taking steroids because I don’t need an apology. Thank you for putting on the show of a lifetime in 1998 and saving baseball.
