I think the myth of Cobb being hated universally was perpetuated by Al Stump. There is a newer biography by Charles Leerhsen that does a good job debunking many aspects or Cobb lore that are portrayed in movies.
To hell with him for what he did to Ray Fosse in the 1970 All-Star Game. Fosse still had some good years left, but was never quite 100% again.birdman said:
