The last Royal to hit for the cycle was George Brett on 7/25/1990 in Toronto.

Witt is hit by the first pitch of his fourth AB. Looked intentional. Suspect a D-Back hitter will pay the price for that next inning.

TV just said that Witt is 12 for 14 since the All-Star break.

Since the All Star Break, Bobby Witt, Jr. is 37 for 77. That's a .481 average. He has a .518 OBP. He's hit six HRs and is slugging .844. Makes an OPS of 1.362.

Plus they have Wacha and are just a hell of a lot of fun to watch. The opposite of the Cardinals this season (I have Cardinals tickets tonight though).

Bobby Witt Jr. is already pretty close to the Griffey Jr. threshold of modern fans not realizing his dad also played because the son is so damn good. Assuming the Royals make the post-season, he's going to approach his dad's total number of post-season appearances in the first series (Dad made it to 4 playoff games)

Judge will win the MVP going away but that shouldn't tar what Witt Jr. is doing this season.
Really fun player.

Anyone else see Witt bust out the Pablo Sanchez bat for Players' Weekend? Kind of surprised he did not HR every AB with that thing!
