Wow. It has shown so far. Both SPs should be living a few inches off the plate and even low to Rhitters. It's been bad.

I've thought he might be one pitch short of being a MLB starter. He can't just blow everyone away in the MLB like he did in college. Reliever might be his best route to success, imo. Plus he can get by with a smaller pitch assortment as a reliever, so maybe easier on the rehab? What do I know, just rambling. I'll trust the experts on this one.

The move to AA was a surprise to me as much as the idea of coming out as a SP. That was why I said "audition."

We have 9 SPs + deGrom, with Urena, Bradford... likely Dunning and Heaney all gumming up the middle-relief role as we progress. If we need any kind of P in '24... a LH RP might be it. Latz, Heaney, and Burke?!

So, we don't need him as a SP in '24. Why rush him to AA? Why a Starter?!

Like you, I'll trust the guys that get paid to make those decision, I'm just here to second guess them.

I don't see any way he even sniff's Arlington in '24. He just needs to get some professional innings under his belt and prove he can stay healthy. Didn't have have a shoulder issue before, part of the reason he got low-balled the first time he was drafted? I just assumed he'd go back to A ball where he was pitching when he want down with TJ.

Max always looks like he just finished a marathon after about 40 pitches. Makes me tired just watching him.

I am a little surprised they are throwing him in AA off the rip, but I suspect he was going to end up their at the beginning of next season anyways. It might have more to do with his mental maturity than anything as well. We'll see how it goes. I want him to get back to pitching 4 innings per outing by the end of this season.

Wyatt rips one right in to the pitcher's glove. I swear he has to be the unluckiest hitter in the majors this year.

Scherzer on cruise control that inning. Probably done at 85 pitches through 6. Hell of a game from him.

That was a nice play.

I'll take the win if we can hold on but not the offensive production I hoped for. We can't expect to score 3 runs a game and make a run at the division title. Seems like last night was an outlier for Garcia.

It was kind of smoky when I was there. Definitely hazy from it. I have been in worse though. Is it worse now?
