There's something physically wrong with Abreu, probably in his back. He needs to teach a deal with the Astros to retire.

He's still owed about $35 MM through the end of next year.

Money is guaranteed in baseball. There os no deal to be had, just ask the Yankees about Aaron Hicks. LoL.

They can release him. He agreed to stay on, so maybe he feels like he can bounce back.

I don't know how all that works, but it will be fun to watch.
