I don't think I've ever seen Heaney pitch a good game.
I look at it as the Lowe, Jung, and Foscue injuries have given Wendzel an opportunity for us to see what he has.Grapesoda2525 said:The Foscue injury hurt because it exposed us to wendzel.Mr Gigem said:

Nathaniel Lowe: Could be any day

Josh Sborz: Next week
Scherzer: 2-3 weeks out
deGrom: Early August
Mahle: mid-July
Bradford: TBD
Jung: Early June https://t.co/bhwBHBiBVX
I think Langford has been fine. The issue is needing Langford to bat in the three hole because you don't have anyone else who profiles to bat in that spot. Langford possesses the skills and ability to hit there, but he's a 22 year old rookie who's still figuring out everyday MLB pitching. Then on top of that the other guy you need to slug (seager) looks really off for some reason. So we are getting zero slug from the two and three spots. That's the biggest issue with this lineup right now. Evan Carter is also pretty lost at the plate imo.Grapesoda2525 said:
Wyatt Langford being meh
Evan Carter platooned
Jung hurt
Duran subreplacment
Wendzel 0fer the season
Foscue injury
A bench with jank/kniz/walsh
Means this lineup has big problems against lhp
We might need to put Seager in the injured list or something. He doesn't look good at all and has no power.
Thought someone said Bradford was only supposed to miss one start?DallasAg 94 said:Nathaniel Lowe: Could be any day

Keep in mind Ps go on a 15IL, It was retro to the 11th, IIRC, which means he won't be available until the 26th. With the day off, he could have probably just missed 1GS.Grapesoda2525 said:

I heard on the radio the great Eric nadel give his thoughts on Langford a few days ago before a game and he said he's not really surprised that he hasn't "torn the league up" yet. He said the big difference between spring training and regular season is in the regular season pitchers are actually following scouting reports and trying to get you out, but in spring training they're usually working on things, just getting revved up, or lower skilled guys just trying to make the club.Tksymm7 said:I think Langford has been fine. ETA: I think losing Garver is playing out it be a pretty big loss.

Trout was 19.
In 2011, he went: 40G, .220, 5HR, 4SB, .281 OBP, .672 OPS
While I expect Langford to settle in fine, I'm not sure Trout is the one I'd compare.
Having said that... Langford is hitting .253. Not an All-Star, but certainly reassuring he belongs.
