If Raymond had called teh Seager home run in Game 1 of the World Series, he would just not be calling it a home run.Legal Custodian said:To be fair, the ball is hard to pick up in the sunlight on TV.Proposition Joe said:
Dave Raymond doesn't know ita a homerun until it's landed.
But it happens to Raymond a lot, so I can't argue your point too much.

I'll add this as well; I think there are areas of this team that are going to change between now and the end of the season. Not only pitching wise, but the outfield in particular. Like was discussed yesterday, I do wonder when they will start to work Carter into CF, because that's really where he needs to play. He doesn't and will never have the raw power to be a real corner outfielder, but by playing him in LF and having Langford DH, I think we are sacrificing some offense. Playing Carter in CF might sacrifice some initial defense, although I think he'll learn it at the MLB level sooner than later, but would then allow us to add a bigger bat to the lineup either in LF or at DH (if Langford plays everyday). This is probably the only field position spot I think we'll be in for.

I'm happy with Leiter's outing. Obviously not thrilled... It was no Neftali Feliz debut... but some things to work on.
Pitched well in the 1st showing the actual stage didn't shake him.
Struck multiple major league hitters out.
Battled back on a few counts.
Had a solid inning after a bad inning to show he won't necessarily unravel.
Needs to work on hitting his spots and we'll obviously need to see how he looks in a normal, non-restricted/debut setting. He was using all his pitches from the start yesterday and that's typically not what you're going to see out of regular starters.

I don't remember Feliz's debut. What happened?

Do the Rangers make any roster moves today?
Lowe is at 24 ABs in the minors. I had thought I had heard they were ready to activate him. Maybe they wanted to wait and not have him fly up to Detroit and then off to Atlanta. He did play for RR @ Sugarland, last night. Is Wendzel the move there? I also was under the impression Lowe would get about 30 AB. Do you just wait and let him join back in Arlington to see Seattle?!
Not sure what they do with Leiter. Monday is a day off, so having a 6th man rotation isn't necessary. I'm not sure who you replace him with. Bradford can't be activated until the 26th. Do you keep Leiter up and give him another GS as a 6? Or maybe a RP appearance?! Anyone you bring in will likely be gone when Bradford returns?!

I believe he came in and struck out the side, if memory serves.
