Not feeling good about this. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Don't really care what the rest of the west does today. I'm just glad we got a split at least up here and the offense actually showed up today. First 2 days in Detroit the offense was so bad.
You might get your wish. Astros are going to extra innings with the Braves and garden gnome, Yordan, Bregman all hit in the bottom of the 9th.Fuzzy Dunlop said:Grapesoda2525 said:

I hear you, but we need others to continue to lose every chance they get. As poor as we have been offensively, we need to build as big a lead as possible on the West.
Respectfully....no, we DON'T know that he can hit. That's an assumption based on (quite frankly) a lot of hype. He's 25 and a career .275 hitter in the minors, that isn't exactly George Brett. Look at how Langford and Carter both younger with fewer pro ABs) have struggled - and they both have more potential as hitters than Foscue. And don't even get me started on his defense.Grapesoda2525 said:
Nobody has brought it up yet, but the injury to Justin Foscue really hurt. We all know Foscue can hit and he might have given the offense a boost over these last 7-10 games where it's been so bad.
Foscue's injury opened the door for Wendzel who has done nothing but hit into double plays, strike out, and look like crap out there.
Don't forget that Wendzel allowed for Bochy to PH the secret weapon to win the game today. So good by Wendzel for that.Grapesoda2525 said:

I'm not a huge Foscue fan or anything, but to be fair the guy has more hits in 1 AB then Wendzel has put up in 2 weeks.rbtexan said:Respectfully....no, we DON'T know that he can hit. I hope I'm wrong about Foscue, but IMO he's a right handed Willie Calhoun. If he hadn't gotten hurt, he wasn't going to carry this team offensively.
Astros lose 5-4. Swept by Atlanta in Minute Maid.Fuzzy Dunlop said:Grapesoda2525 said:

We get one on Monday after the Atlanta seriesMrCoachEricTaylor said:

This is starting to get ridiculous. If he's going to DH, he needs to hit the ball with authority. 1 double and 1 triple and 0 home runs in 76 plate appearances. We don't need Tom Goodwin as our DH to slap hit and bunt. Come on dude.South Platte said:
I'm calling it now. Langford hits his first career home run next AB.
