He has about played himself out of the lineup. Carter is turning it on, and Langford is an everyday player.

zero walks for Leiter in 6IP is amazing. That has been a struggle for him. The three HR's are some concern, was the wind blowing out or something? Still, I will take it. 10k's in 6IP, and no walks? Sign me up.

I've been watching baseball a long, long time, and I cannot recall a worse start to the season for the umpires. It's been absolutely dreadful.
No hits for Altuve and Yordan is nice to see.

That AB is the reason we need the minor league appeal process for ball/strike calls. I mean, missing one of those would be bad enough (given how far off the plate it was....), but three straight strike calls on balls there were nowhere near the strike zone should be a fireable offense..... but the union...

However, that would give us:
Eovaldi, Bradford, Dunning, Heaney, Gray, Scherzer, Lorenzen, and Urena
Henderson, Church, Yates, Robertson, Latz
That's a lot of guys that aren't getting warmed quickly.
Urena is in the BP, but he's gone 2.0+ in 3 of his 4G and one was 4.0 IP. He and Lorenzen can be long-RP.
We could do the tandem thing, I suppose.

Right now there's no way I'm even thinking of a tandem with Bradford. I'd be bringing Lorenzen in to replace Heaney or Gray in the rotation and send one of them to the pen. I'd also start throwing Urena out there in high leverage spot in the 7/8/9 inning.

If it was me, I'd move him to DH and then move Leody to the bench with a Garcia/ Carter/ Langford outfield.

The Rangers, IMO, have been very smart and deliberate with him.
Usually a team or two is looking for a LH power bat they can bring in at the trade deadline. With 1 more yr of control, there will be a market for him. He was an AllStar.
Lowe, IMO, is more well-rounded... more team control and is likely better all-around. GG, SS...

In all seriousness though, until we see how Lowe looks when he comes back, I'm not sure we should be thinking of trading Walsh. Let's not forget Lowe was pretty bad at the plate the 2nd half of last season.
