We will need a larger sample size. Plus, after he gets some ab's at the MLB level, the pitchers will develop "the book" on him and then we can see if he can adjust to that. We can always use another RH bat and some speed if he can stick at the MLB level.

But looking at his career stats, you have to wonder if he is a career AAAA type guy. He has played in parts of 5 seasons at the MLB level, but has never taken off. So lets enjoy him while we can, hopefully he can keep getting on base.

Nothing we don't know but good perspective from a national writer I like.

Derek Hill or not I see little value in Leody anymore. He's usually a good player for about a month of the season then below average the rest.

On Taveras... the other day I was wondering if he was going to turn into another Leonys Martin. Decent CF'er, good enough to start for a while and hang around the bigs for 7-8-9 years or so, but never really asserted himself as a CF'er for a legit team.

Just looked them both up.... Leonys Martin has a career batting average of.....244
