It's not important enough to burn the roster the day before the playoffs start.
I agree, but I mean for Manfred, not us. I've watched probably 150 of our games this year and it wasn't important enough for me to even turn on our games this weekend, getting my rest in before the real season starts.

ETA, I assume Manfred won't actually make us play it, but just throwing this out there.

I kind of think AJ does care a little and he would rather play us. He can use that as motivation.

At some point a delay becomes a competitive disadvantage for Houston. If they really drag this out late it makes us come back late. It could cost a half day of rest.

Normally I'm like this when a game is postponed or cancelled due to weather


But it is to the point this is getting ridiculous. Other than Gusto getting his first MLB start and maybe a few players hoping to make the season stats look a bit better (Yanier has a shot at .300 and I think Jose Ramirez has a shot at a 40/40 season) this game is completely meaningless. Time to call it.

We hit skubal pretty well this year. He has 12 innings and 6 earned runs this year against us in two starts

He's on a hot streak but hopefully we can at least get a couple of runs off of him AND Framber is on his game

That's a 4.50 ERA compared to what he has now, which is 2.39. Plus he can only pitch once. If we want to go back to the ALCS we'll need to hit really good pitching, which we've done quite a bit during this run.
