Yeah the tigers had a .02% chance to make the playoffs on AUGUST 11! Yeah they definitely remind me of the 2019 Nats.

I want absolutely nothing to do with them

Would be nice to face Clase this weekend...but I wonder if Guardians would hold him back so our guys don't see him. He is the scariest guy in the AL playoffs in my opinion. He just does not get beat.

Edit: Rangers traded him and DeShields to Indians for Kluber--so glad he is not playing for S Oklahoma these days

So from Aug 18 on, Detroit went from 0.8% with the Twins at 92.8% to clinching and the Twins maybe getting kicked to the curb. That has to be one of the biggest collapses ever.

If Clase pitches, it's because they don't want a 7+ day layoff between outings, he might see time on Sunday in the most ST game of the weekend. I don't think they'd be too worried about giving anything away.

My 97yo grandma is a diehard Tigers fan and she has always "disliked" Hinch (she never hates anything). Even now she won't say anything nice about him.

Rooting for the Tigers as my second team in the playoffs just for her though.
