Add in the yordan injury and we need to carry as many position players as possible so we don't pigeon hole ourselves late in games on how we shuffle OF/1B/DH and catcher spots in particular. They actually pulled him early, so the fans could acknowledge what may be his last regular season home game.

On the other hand, I highly doubt it would be possible to replace what he brings both offensively and defensively at a lower price point.
My advice to Crane would be to extend Bregman AND give Tucker a long-term contract; just embrace the reality of becoming an upper-tier luxury tax team for as long as we can maintain our status as a legitimate World Series contender.
If/when we need to do a complete rebuild that is the time to penny pinch.
Also, J-Rod was being a little bisch, and yelling at the ump. Since there hasn't been a single called strike against him in this game, you have to assume it's because he was mad about the game being stopped during his last AB.
