Add in the yordan injury and we need to carry as many position players as possible so we don't pigeon hole ourselves late in games on how we shuffle OF/1B/DH and catcher spots in particular. JV doesn't need to be on the WC roster

They actually pulled him early, so the fans could acknowledge what may be his last regular season home game.

On the other hand, I highly doubt it would be possible to replace what he brings both offensively and defensively at a lower price point.
My advice to Crane would be to extend Bregman AND give Tucker a long-term contract; just embrace the reality of becoming an upper-tier luxury tax team for as long as we can maintain our status as a legitimate World Series contender.
If/when we need to do a complete rebuild that is the time to penny pinch.
Also, J-Rod was being a little bisch, and yelling at the ump. Since there hasn't been a single called strike against him in this game, you have to assume it's because he was mad about the game being stopped during his last AB.
