Watching since 1976 when I was 5 years old and wondered what excited my dad so much. Lost him to cancer in November of 2017 but not before he saw us win our first title. This is the golden age, everyone enjoy it and take NOTHING for granted.

The Houston Astros won their 7th AL West title tonight. That ties the Texas Rangers.

The difference? Well, the Astros moved to the division in 2013. The Rangers have been in it since 1972. Thatās a 41 year difference.
Houston also owns 3 NL West titles and 4 NL Central titles. pic.twitter.com/B1EwIKpiRR

Wonderful story. Unfortunately lost my Dad in 2015. I used to listen to Astros at night on my Transistor Radio under my pillow at night in the late 1960's before I was 10 years old. I thought that would prevent my parents from hearing it.

Exactly how I got my start following the Astros in the Summer of 1973 as a 6 year old who got a transistor radio from my grandpa for my previous birthday. I enjoyed listening to top 40 hits, and wondered where my music had gone...it didn't take long before the soothing voice of Gene Elston put me to sleep in summers, and I was hooked. Been with them ever since. Truly a golden era.eATMup-Reveille said:Prosperdick said:iamtheglove said:

How crazy is it that we may not win the division or make the playoffs without the trade for Kikuchi that everyone hated (including myself)?
That trade was absolutely essential this season and sets us up for our #3 starter in the playoffs
