Verlander has no control early. According to the google PBP app, he hasn't thrown an actual strike yet. Both called strikes so far have outside the zone.

Why would you have him on it based on his current performances? Playoffs aren't the time for the "back of the baseball card" argument.

Unless he turns it around tonight and going forward he won't be on until maybe the ALCS when it's a 7 game series

For a 3 game WC series? He's not starting. Framber, HB, Kikuchi are all in front of him with Ronel as a backup. He's not on the WC roster for me.
