Orioles starter Dean Kramer got hit on his pitching wrist with a line drive yesterday. Had to leave the game, wrist was already very swollen before he left the mound. Another injury to a really thin pitching staff. Also lost their third baseman to an ankle injury. To make matters worse, they lost to the Rockies

Exactly...tell him under no circumstances do we want you legging out a hit. If you hit off the wall, forget about a double, just jog to first. Tell Yordan or Diaz they need to do the team a solid and hit a homer if Tucker's on base.

I'd give him the next series off and then have him DH 2/3 the next series against Arizona with a rest day on Sunday

Tell him not to try to stretch anything into a double unless it's something he can jog into. And don't try to be a hero stretching a single on a grounder

Yeah. I forgot that stupid TV off day. It allows a 3 man rotation in the playoffs. It devalues pitching depth.

Going back to Yuli for a bit… it's always been weird to me that more athletes don't retire on top when it's clear they are totally past their primes.

Like if Maldonado had retired after the 2022 WS, he's an Astros legend and nobody would say a bad thing about him. Instead he came back and was god awful in 2023 and is trashed now by the Astros and white Sox fan bases.

I'm surprised Yuli didn't retire after the 2022 World Series. Go out on top and go out a legend
