So with the current offense and defense on the field, does 18-10 to get to 90 wins feel more or less likely than 8-20 to finish with 80 wins?EastCoastAgNc said:Astros have to go 28-0 to win 100 games

I think Jeremy Pena's 5 errors in 10 games and Abreu's morph into Montero (among other things) brought it into the universe. I am just curious where folks think we end up. With the remaining schedule, I am expecting (hoping may be a better word) for the high side of 85, but if these guys continue to lose focus and play like they don't care in more than 1 game each series I could see closer to 80 being a real possibility.Rustys-Beef-o-Reeno said:txags92 said:So with the current offense and defense on the field, does 18-10 to get to 90 wins feel more or less likely than 8-20 to finish with 80 wins?EastCoastAgNc said:Astros have to go 28-0 to win 100 games

Why the **** would you put that into the universe
Damn, that really sucks for him and the Royals. On the travel softball team that I've been coaching, we always call these the emergency room throws because if you throw it bad and to the right, you gonna put your first baseman in the emergency room.EastCoastAgNc said:Vinnie Pasquantino has a broken right thumb, and further tests are scheduled today. He could return in six to eight weeks.

Exactly. Pretty much every time I come out negative, they go on a run. Now I probably jinxed that too though.TarponChaser said:Rustys-Beef-o-Reeno said:txags92 said:So with the current offense and defense on the field, does 18-10 to get to 90 wins feel more or less likely than 8-20 to finish with 80 wins?EastCoastAgNc said:Astros have to go 28-0 to win 100 games

That really sucks for Vinnie and KC, but Salvy needs to cool it. Outside of Chas's idiotic play against Seattle last year, the Astros are one of the teams least likely to risk injuries to other players.
What's more impressive, Salvador hitting 48 home runs in a season or Yainer hitting 23 while being stymied by Dusty Baker?Ag_07 said:

He was chatting up Yanier as the new pitcher was warming up and it looked as if they were discussing the play and Yanier had this 'What was I supposed to do?' look on his face.
He wasn't chewing him out or anything. Just a discussion where it looked like Salvy was kinda coaching up Yanier and Yanier didn't seem very interested.

Justin Verlander and Yusei Kikuchi aren’t eligible to receive one. Alex Bregman is (and he will decline it). https://t.co/EhrwSCwtVs

Kyle Tucker has a pretty large guard on his right shin, but it doesn't seem much different than what he wore previously. This is a full live BP — he's taken multiple swings and made contact. Again, hitting has never been Tucker's biggest hurdle. Running and running the bases is.
