Kind of crazy that Hader has 11 decisions on the season, sitting at 5-6. Without taking any time to investigate, that seems high for a closer.

He wears many hats. He was a dealing buster for Kikuchi, and he made it look effortless leading to the first ER.
We thought he was done this season after he airmailed the throw home not too long ago considering how badly he's hurting the team at the plate. It just goes to show how desperate we are to find a spark in the OF and Chas has a history of being able to hit even if he's been as bad or worse than almost every one else we've cut bait with this season.

I think berryhill got released. Down to saladbar and whatever offensive black hole they signed from the Mets
Salazar would be the third catcher. Omar Narvez is also in Sugar Land and a veteran guy. Cooper Hummel can catch in a pinch as well.

Game 2 isn't really close because 3-1 feels like 10-1 and we salvage game 3 with a Yordan 2 run homer late to win 2-0.

We're 6th back from the 2nd best record and would need to leapfrog 4 others teams. I would say that is fairly unlikely. Fangraphs only gives us a 13.5% of clinching a bye.

You are correct, but the way i see it we have had the best record in baseball since early May, why not just keep stringing together series wins and sweeps?

I have no idea what this team is going to do. I think they'll win the division, but hey, I've thought at least once this year might not be the year for them to make they postseason and, yet, here they are in position to make it.
Yeah, best record is highly unlikely, but it's also pretty amazing they are only 6.5 games out. Pretty wild given the start of the year.

I haven't looked at the actual games but many of these feel like they were in the front half of the season where the bullpen made the game tight
