I'm in Mexico at the moment. I scouted this gringo down here striking everyone out and doing silly moves afterwards. Seems like a real talent. In his 30s already so maybe a late bloomer. Could be a steal. I hear he'll accept the minimum with incentives.

I don't think he ever wanted to stay in Oakland. I think he wanted to get the team to Vegas so he could raise the value for when he sells. He'll fetch way more money there.

Moving a crappy team to a much smaller television market might do the cosmic Uno reverse on him. He should have just sold the team. There have been real offers from some Silicon Valley tech bros, that he turned down.

Source: I work for a Silicon Valley tech company, and a co-worker I'm on meetings with almost daily who's also a good friend is a East Bay resident, and a huge A's fan. We went to a game there back in May. Wanted to check that stadium off the hunt while I still could.
