Even if he comes back strong, it's going to be September where we could realistically expect him to be turning in full efforts where he feels like part of the rotation. The issue there is that you have to expect that Brown/Arrighetti aren't far from the form we've seen the last turn through the rotation.

Yes, it sucks having 4 guys that you expect to be starters on the IL…but it feels like the scene from Austin Powers where the security guard starts screaming for his life 50 ft in front of the slow moving steamroller. They've known that what's happening could happen before the season started and yet they did nothing to attempt to stop it.

The price wasn't high when they let FAs fall off the board before ST that could be eating innings for you now. There are enough targets out there with expiring contracts that the Astros aren't looking for an ace…they're looking for a solid 3/4 guy to shore this thing up.

There's no reason to overpay, but Brown needs to start thinking he outside the box to make something happen sooner-than-later or it won't matter b/c your bullpen will be done by mid-August.

Some of these strike calls the past week or so have been hilarious.

Chas has just about proven himself to be of zero trade value.

Framber never would've made it out of the 1st inning with the soft contact and unlucky stuff…certainly not when it kicked-up again in the 2nd.

The only truly bad thing he did was the 4-pitch walk to Larnach so that he could pitch to Miranda with runners on the corners.
