I believe the call was fair ball, meaning it did not hit him in the batter's box, and fair/foul can only be reviewed beyond the 1st and 3rd base bags. But that's just my limited understanding.

Can't put that on the coaches. I also don't blame Altuve. Sometimes bad calls deserve that type of reaction whether it leads to an ejection or not.
