The Red Sox claimed reliever Alex Speas off waivers from the Astros. Speas was DFA'd last week to clear a 40-man roster spot for Bryan King.

How bad was Dubon last night? He left 10 on base. The AL record is 13 but it was in a 15 inning game. The second place of 12 was done twice but also in extra innings. Weirdly all three were done by Boston Red sox players in different games.
I'm going out on a limb and betting that Dubon tied the 9 inning record. I can't find it anywhere but I'm betting that's it.
He also left 8 RISP which is unfathomly hard to do. Runners on 2 and 3 in 4 separate ABs.

Doobie is fine. Everyone has nights like that. His ability to make a positive play (RE24) is high. Hes been great with runners in scoring position. Maybe he has a low offensive ceiling, but he's going to be okay.
I still wish they would get a 1B to hit from the right.

I haven't watch every pitch the past two games, but the Astros have been jobbed on a few calls with the strike zone. Jake yesterday, a couple of Framber pitches so far today. Not sure if it has been both ways, but geez.
