Quintana was on the ropes the entire time and this one was there for the taking, and it's entirely self-inflicted. Eight LOB by one guy. Bregman's error. Letting Nunez get through two.

Trying to remember the last loss that was this frustrating in a season with plenty of them.

It 100% was below his front knee. The only question is where Jake was standing. Back of the box or over the plate. If he was back of the box it could have been knee high on the plate.

Sounds logical. But how can you be sure statcast adjust for the players frame and stance? The camera angle was staring at Jake and the ball was clearly below his knees. Perhaps the camera angle was off. But for him to get pissed like that, something he never does, it tells me my eyes are just fine.

I think statcast is often wrong on borderline pitches based on what I see. I was just busting your balls.
