Go read the Youth Baseball thread on this forum. My son is 13 and has an elbow fracture already and this is a huge/common problem in youth baseball. There are multiple parents just on that thread, with kids who have arm issues at the 10-14u level. At least with the travel players who can pitch. They are abused from an early age.

I know the pitchers of yesteryear used to throw a ton (as an adult), but they weren't overworked from a young age. The pressure to keep pace and the continue use takes it toll. Also, a lot of high level pitchers are having to add a ton of new pitches to their mix.

It's almost like maybe….baseball shouldn't be life for teens and tweens
