Arizona Cardinals select Chase Bisontis in the second round, 34th overall

A trend of Texas A&M offensive linemen selected in the NFL Draft continued on Friday when Aggies guard Chase Bisontis was picked by Arizona in the second round.

The Cardinals selected the Maroon Goon with the 34th overall pick.

Bistonis is the highest drafted A&M offensive lineman since Kenyon Green was taken in the first round by the Houston Texans in 2022.

He’s the 11th A&M offensive lineman drafted since the Aggies entered the Southeastern Conference in 2012.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Bistonis came to A&M in 2023 as a four-star prospect out of Don Bosco Prep in New Jersey. He was the second-highest rated interior offensive lineman in the nation.

He started at right tackle as a true freshman. The next year, Bisontis began to flourish after shifting inside to his natural position of guard.

He started 10 games at left guard in 2024. Then last season, he earned All-SEC acclaim for his performance.

Bisontis continued to impress during the NFL Combine. He ran a 40-yard dash in 5.02 seconds, had a 32-inch vertical jump and had 29 reps in the 225-pound bench press.
