For those wanting a long read. One think I took away, which he didn't directly point out, is sometimes less is more. HB throws a lot of pitches, which I can't help but think impacts his control. Does he really need a slider and cutter so similar? Does he need both a knuckle curve and a splitter when he can't locate either? Maybe if they bring him down to 4 pitches (4 seam, 2 seam, curve, cutter) he can work more on commanding them before worrying about 6 (sometimes 7) pitches like he throws now.
