As I recall from a couple of years ago, there's not much around the stadium. We stayed near Times Square and went straight to the park. Same with the Mets stadium- of course, it's out in BFE.
I love Texas Aggie sports, but I love Texas A&M more.

There's a couple of bars around the stadium but Stan's is the only one I'd make sure to check out

Any validity to this? Poster says in the comments it would be a salary dump for both teams with us getting Benintendi.

Pretty sure it's not credible but who knows with how Bagwell advises the team

Rewatching Moneyball and man did this just give me serious Jose Abreu vibes. Justice is 37 and they want to milk the last ounce of baseball he has in him. Problem is, Abreu ain't 37 like it shows on his fabricated birth certificate so there's nothing left to milk.

Abreu is owed less overall and they'd be out from under him sooner.

Beni is younger and still has potential to be fixed. It would help in the luxury tax payroll this season and next.

This surprisingly makes some sense.

So let's go player for player swap. They assume the remainder of Abreu's salary plus one of Benintendi's remaining three years.

Abreu either turns it around in Chicago or retires with the Sox. We get a left handed outfield bat and clears first base for Loperfido.

Benintendi is in the 2nd year of a 5 year deal that pays $16.5M/yr. He's 29 years old. Pretty significant drop off in his productivity in 2023 and 2024 so far. Lefty bat.
