You cannot continue to trot out a 1B batting .100 with no power who is also a severe defensive liability just hoping he figures it out.
I understand Peña should have taken his time and make a better throw but any decent fielder, not even great, gets off the bag and prevents the run.
We have to make a move

Although most of my posting on Joey Gallo is tongue in cheek, there is an effect of it known as:
The Gallo Line.

This it the point in your baseball fandom when you look at a guy on your team, you look at Joey Gallo's body of work (such as it is), and you realize, I would rather have Joey Gallo than this guy.

That moment has come, probably 2 weeks ago honestly, with Jose Abreu.

Sadly it comes down to Crane bc it's his money that has to be lit on fire. He doesn't seem like the type to do that, especially when he's got some "expert" former players who love the old guys telling him "oh he'll turn it around:.

Abreu sucks and is batting .087 but remember Loperfido has a 37% strikeout rate with only 10 homeruns in 2 weeks. So clearly Abreu is the better option

Reminded me of a time I saw Hakeem go up against Shawn Bradley. Hakeem did his spin move one way, then back the other, and Bradley hadn't even gotten through his first step on the spin move.
