I don't think he puts us "back in it" given how we have yet to sniff .500 and we are 64 games in and super injured.

So you'd get a clubhouse cancer, who a good amount of fans would hate (including many female Astros fans), our players would hate… and he still likely wouldn't be the difference in making October or not

High risk, little to no reward IMO

I'm not certain he will but I'm also not convinced he does any damage in the clubhouse. He's a pitcher, they are weird anyway. Most position players just let them do their own thing and it has no impact on their daily existence.

If he would just go up there with a mindset to not swing at anything beyond the middle of the plate, he would get walked at an incredible clip until the pitchers were finally forced to adjust. Right now, they know they can strike him out or get a weakly hit ball by pitching him well off the plate.
