The mental aspect of pitching is brutal. One thing goes wrong and it feels like you can't do anything right. Kid needs a sports psychologist more than anything else. I remember him talking about this same thing in spring training.

I like him and I want him to be the guy, to live up to his potential. But at this point it seems more likely he'll be a AAA pitcher as more likely than he'll be a successful big league pitcher.

What frustrated me was the 2-2 pitch. You can't walk a guy so you try to throw a curve in the dirt to setup a must throw a strike pitch at 3-2. Idiot.

Brown has a million dollar arm and a 10 cent head. If he can get the mental aspect down, he could be an upper echelon pitcher. As it is, he's one of the most frustrating guys in baseball to watch.

His stuff hasn't been that good today. There's a reason the mariners have lots of foul balls after getting two strikes vs whiffs
