I don't miss you nearly as much as Captain Lou misses an 89mph fastballDustyBaker said:

Other than the non-TV years, I've been an Astro fan day in, day out since I was old enough to wave to Cesar Cedeno from the pavillion (1977). Maybe the end is nigh or maybe we turn it around when we get healthy, but my Astro fandom doesn't waver.
Hopefully the "EVERYONE SUCKS" posters will lose interest and find other pasttimes if the losing keeps up, but I doubt it.
For now, let's just try to will some runs across the plate and make this a game.

There are so many dead spots they can't help it.W said:

I'll tell you one thing, I'd be playing Dubon more.
It's ok. I'll be the fall guy. Sure doesn't seem like getting rid of me fixed the teams issues though
Brotha……..I watched Bob Watson and Roger Metzger and Doug Rader play at the Dome. I've pretty much seen it all with this team and I'm not going anywhere. The Porkchop Express said:

Bregman has no pop. His average exit velocity was about league average last season at 88 mph and his slugging % thus far this season would be great if it was his batting average but just no extra bases. He is also now 30 so it won't better unless he gets a lot stronger. Not suggesting that his wife inject him but…

Just out of curiosity I womdered if there was another 3B who was having a worse year than Breggy to start the a season.
Yes. Yes there is. And he is costing a metric crap ton more than SalsaMan.
I give you the one. The only. Mr "I don't really care about baseball" himself. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Anthony Rendon.
That's some spectacular suckage there. You have to try to be that bad. Or on Anthony's case, not try.

Crane has been a great owner….
But he f***ed up getting rid of Click. Combine that with the loss of draft picks and the Abreu/Montero fiasco and we've gotten real old, real quick.
Think it could be an interesting trade deadline. Wouldn't suprise me if we are 5 games below .500 but playing good ball (15-10 in the last 25 or something like that). Do you stick it out and hope for that run or start looking to the future? And how far in the future? Just trade pending free agents or consider Tucker or Framber for bigger hauls?Wabs said:The Porkchop Express said:

Been a Stros fan for a very long time. Probably longer than you, and will ALWAYS be an Astros fan. But man…,something is very wrong with this team. It's early and still time to turn it around, but on a daily basis I'm losing hope that the window is still open. We're setting ourselves up to have to make a historical, miraculous run late in the season.
