Random input leading up to Game 1.

Skubal is obviously the real deal. Clinched the AL pitching triple crown.

His last start on Tuesday he was back to his quintessential self; putting the ball exactly where he wanted it and in complete control of the game.


He hasn't had a bad start per se in September, but there were a few starts in there where he wasn't as dominant, even if the stats didn't reflect it. If he can locate his changeup, he dominates. When he can't, the pitch count gets up there. Locating the change has been the one ? In recent starts, but he is so talented the #'s still look good.

I think it's more about maximizing flexibility and leveraging the bench with all the bullpen arms AJ is gonna try to swap in / out.
