slugging .453 with 58 x-base hits
he may get his 6 years $150 MM with those numbers

Would be nice to face Clase this weekend...but I wonder if Guardians would hold him back so our guys don't see him. He is the scariest guy in the AL playoffs in my opinion. He just does not get beat.
Edit: Rangers traded him and DeShields to Indians for Kluber--so glad he is not playing for S Oklahoma these days
No one wanted to mention 5 years ago, but A.J. Hinch brought it up himself.

I'm really excited to see AJ Hinch manage in October, and I'm even more fascinated to see how he is treated by the media. Cora has seemingly been revived in the public eye despite being the only MLB figure known to have stolen signs illegally with 2 different franchises. You can measure that in words of affirmation he's received publicly or just the $21M extension he received this year.
AJ Hinch didn't know if he would ever manage in the game again. Smart baseball fans know the details: Hinch was smashing monitors to show condemnation for the sign stealing while Cora was orchestrating the scheme with Beltran as his right hand man. But at the end of the day, AJ didn't stop it. He was suspended, shunned, and served his time. He's owned his role in everything, and been accountable along the way.
Now he owns his place as the manager of baseball's Cinderella squad - the roar of 24. His story will be told, and when that happens my hope is that it is shared accurately and succinctly so as not to detract from what the Tigers are accomplishing. Neither the team nor the manager deserve to live in the shadow of 17 at this point. Hopefully the baseball media allows them to just be this year's feel good story.
Seth Lugo remains the #Royals starter today. Cole Ragans was lined up for tomorrow, but that's likely to change -- nothing official yet, though.

"Everybody runs out of gas at the end of the year. The season is damn long. The guys that stay resilient and the guys that stay strong mentally are the guys that succeed. We did not do any of those things. Being tired is an excuse that's not valid at this point."
