Just counting save % seems like looking at just W/L record back in the day rather than how well the pitcher actually has pitched.

He's been fine to good, not the best in the league like his save percentage would indicate.

I've seen an interesting theory on that. Kukuchi and Bregman share an agent- Scott Boras. The theory is that Boras is the impetus behind the claims that Bregman is a pitcher whisperer.

I got 4 from my vendor for tonight. Wife decided tomorrow was a better game to go to. So I asked another vendor if he had Saturday and he said yes. I gave my 4 for tonight to a little boy on my sons baseball team.

I asked about it the other day without knowing whether the agent was the same or not. Hunter Brown is the other one who I think mentioned Bregman, and I don't think he is a Boras client. So probably not some nefarious plot to up his profile as a crafty veteran.

Is addressing the media normal at this point?

Alex Bregman is out of the lineup today due to some swelling in the back of his right elbow. Will know more when he speaks to media shortly.

Josh Hader has an ERA+ of 116 and a 3.48 ERA this season.

Hader has had a fine to good season.

If we're just counting the traditional stats (like saves) Hader's ERA is tied for 18th out of the top 30 MLB closers in saves.

Hader may only have one blown save when we're up by up to 3 runs, but he also has 6 losses when we were tied which seems just as pertinent as the pitching when when he comes in with a lead.

Because an Astros player addressing the media about their own injury is something we haven't seen often. I'd imagine it's not a "I'll be fine in a couple of days don't worry" media visit

I could be wrong though, just doesn't give me a lot of hope of getting him back after a couple of games or so

Astros third baseman Alex Bregman said he slept with his arm wrong a few days ago and doesn’t want to play through it anymore. He expects to miss the weekend but said it’s not a long term injury.
