I question Joe Espada's and Dana Brown's managerial abilities on this decision alone. Worst coaching job in baseball to take these hitters and produce absolutely nothing of value.
The decision to do nothing with the hitting coaches when he took over was my biggest criticism of Espada and it's now on full display. Feels like the turds in the lineup let out a <sigh> of relief after the deadline and are just happy to be here.
I'm starting to trend back to a dark place with Espada.
There need to be big changes to this team. Call up Whitcomb, call up Melton, send down either cabbage or chas. Maybe more changes, but start with those.
Since the Astros had the bases loaded and one out in the first inning, they haven't had a runner reach third base.
