I'm not gonna blame anyone for not trading half the farm for one bat when even our stars don't slug at all anymore. It's a deeper problem when combined with our swing first, swing repeatedly approach.
I would venture a guess that it wouldn't have taken much at all to get someone like Mark Canha or some other rental bat. Yandy would have cost too much.
