Singleton's OPS is creeping back to .700 at .697, he's been a perfectly league average hitter, basically what people were hoping Abreu would be this year.
He's 23 among MLB 1b with 200+ PA.

Great comeback story but he's gotta be a bench player at best.

Yeah, can't forget he plays THE premium offensive position. League average isn't enough.

Yanier Diaz on pace for 83 RBi. That would have to be a team record, right? Gattis had 72 in 2017 while splitting it about 50-50 at catcher and dh

Not really sure want Guerrero after watching him as much as the camera will allow. He seems disinterested on defense
that could be a byproduct of him not being happy in Toronto. Remember as I'm sure you know, a change of scenery can really help a player

Geddy has seen enough. He's exercised his freewill and has exited stage left.

Yordan opened the day hitting .296 and OPSing .908. It's now .303 and .936.

Feels like this is kind of like Fenway for Yordan. He blasts balls off the left field wall there and totally resets himself.

Mitch Meluskey had 69. I guess it depends what defines "catcher".

You'd think but is that true? Vlad Jr's OPS+ is consistently decent while in 3 of his first five seasons his OPS was in the .700s and the 4th was .818.

John Bateman had 72 in 1966 in 131 games - 121 at catcher and 10 pinch hits. 72 playing half your games in the dome before they moved the fences in a little is like 175 in a normal stadium.

I checked how each position is faring this year. DH is #1 with 1B tied with SS in 2nd. Then RF, LF, and 3B. 2B, CF, & C all below league avg.

I looked up MLB positional records and to qualify for a record at a position you have to have 2/3 or more of your games played at that position, but your stats earned at other positions do count.

So it looks like 72 is the number.

Also, we're up to 5th in the league in runs scored (406), 3 behind Minnesota at 4th, and 13 behind Cleveland at 3rd.

Yanks and Orioles pace the league at 443 and 440, respectively.
