From what I'm reading, his Innings were improved, which put him in the contract he is in. His other numbers were worse, like ERA. I think my assumption was that his increased IP would trump the other numbers and teams like LAD, et al, would see him as a more durable option.
If the Rangers improve their RP, his ERA will come down because LOB% will come down, IMO. Either the money isn't out there for him, or there are too many other options for teams to take the risk. Pretty surprising, IMO.
