Completely mismanaging your young pithing and not having young offensive stars ready to go for the playoffs is nothing if not mismanagement that squandered the season. Squandered is a bit harsh. They got to game 7 of the ALCS. That's a damn good season. Sure we'd like to win the WS every year but that's not going to happen. There's a reason it's been almost a quarter century since a team had repeated.
