As long as you feel comfortable with Framber aging and then I think that would be a good deal. He's a sinker Baller with a big breaking ball. He's not relying on High Velo so you would think he'll age well.

I just read the article and it's not a 5-year extension at 105 its buying out this year and next then tacking on 3 years. It's more like a 3/75 M deal after arbitration for ages 32, 33, and 34. With the lack of arms in our farm system, I would be 100% in on this.
It would mean we'd have the following rotational arms in the future
2026: Framber, McCullers, Javer, Brown, France
2027: Framber, Javier, Brown, France
2028: Framber, Brown, France

Presuming Justin Verlander goes on the IL on Opening Day — March 28 — the earliest he could return would be April 11 against the Royals at Kauffman Stadium.

How long has it been since McCullers has hit the mound. Seems like almost two years? I can't see him making it through the season with his track record.

I loved my visit to Kauffman in '22. Very fun park, nice people, the Royals HoF in LF is awesome. It is in a concrete wasteland 8 miles from the city center but it is what it is.

Astros GM Dana Brown said he’s not in the market for starting pitching. He envisions a rotation of Valdez, Javier, Urquidy, Brown and France to start the season. Additional depth with Ronel Blanco and Spencer Arrighetti.
